Blocking Solution is made for covering of free binding capacities on plastic surfaces, membranes or other protein binding surfaces.

Blocking Solution inhibits unspecific and unwanted binding on surfaces. By incubation on surfaces (for example microtiterplates, western blotting membranes or slides) free binding sites of the surface are saturated by the components of Blocking Solution. Thus reduces unwanted binding of analytes or detection antibodies on surfaces.
The results are very low background and significant improvement of the sensitivity of the assays. Blocking Solution is produced by chemical modification of highly purified casein.
